Butter, cheese and oat milk book tour: Hotel V

On Oct. 31, the third edition of V-Talks will take place, in which Joris Lohman will discuss his latest book Butter, Cheese and Oat Milk. In the book, he makes short work of the dream images of green idealists, but also sees that technology cannot solve everything. In the end, he manages to translate a complex reality into a hopeful story about the future of our food - including a simple list of shopping tips that will help readers navigate supermarket shelves with peace of mind.
The event is on Oct. 31, 2024 at 7:30 p.m.

V-talks x Joris Lohman

V-Talks previously welcomed Joris Bijdendijk and Samuel Levie. For the third and final edition, it is Joris Lohman's turn. Joris is a political scientist and founder of Food Hub. In 2022, Joris' documentary The Future of Food was released and since 2023, he has co-hosted the weekly podcast Eten is Weten.

In V-talks, Joris talks about his journey from biodynamic farmers and high-tech greenhouses in the Netherlands to a chicken hatchery in the Ivory Coast and a local tortilla bakery in Mexico. He shares the challenges and myths of our food system, and puts focus on the future. During the evening there will also be ample opportunity to ask your questions about the book and this
topic.
