Parties wishing to effect a change in the world of food and agriculture can enlist the help of Food Hub in doing so. It may involve a change in their own organization (internal) or the desire to set up a particular project (external). Even if the question is not yet clear, we know how to deal with it. Together we design the desired change.

Our approach

Using problem framing methodology, we analyze the issue and map out what your project or organization needs. Then we look for the right approach and working form using a design sprint; a way to arrive at valid, detailed answers to an issue in a short period of time. Based on a jointly established design, we can take over parts, or the whole, of a project (temporarily): ranging from stakeholder management and finance to reorganization and communication.

Our work consists of analysis and co-creation with companies, governments and other organizations. Together, we arrive at outcomes that can be put into practice immediately and help accelerate transitions.

In 2020, Food Hub was asked to help think about the interpretation of a Food Boulevard at Artis. This boulevard should become a sensory experience, a place that invites visitors to connect with themes around food and ecosystems. A place, moreover, that motivates visitors to take action for a better food system.

From the portfolio: Food Forward

Born out of a collaboration between Food Hub and Rabobank, Food Forward maps the full regional and national range of food entrepreneurs. The platform provides entrepreneurs with access to network, knowledge and financing, stimulating innovation and collaboration, with the aim of accelerating the food transition.

"Many parties are critical of the use of mineral fertilizers in Dutch agriculture. It is therefore crucial for the members of Fertilizers Netherlands to be able to have a well-informed discussion with these parties about what the role of mineral fertilizers is in the transition to a less intensive form of agriculture. Food Hub brought us along as one of the parties in a broader discussion about Dutch agriculture and thus enabled us to enter into the conversation outside our "bubble" on a basis of trust. This has led to a much greater mutual understanding and knowledge of what is needed for the transition of our agricultural and food system."
