Food Inspiration Days

On October 14 and 15, "New Dutch" will be the central theme at the Food Inspiration Days. This year, Food Inspiration focuses on the innovative strength of the Netherlands within the food sector and how the Netherlands can profile itself as a guide country in food. The Netherlands is known worldwide for its progressiveness in technology and water management, but the image of clogs, tulips, windmills and cheese girls often overshadows our food innovations.

During this event, Food Inspiration delves into the future of Dutch cuisine. How will sweet, salty, bitter, sour and umami evolve? What can we expect from new textures and techniques? How will "New Dutch" influence menus and beverages in foodservice? Food Inspiration also explores the future profitability of food companies and the impact of technology and Artificial Intelligence on the role of food makers.

Our Food Forward initiative will also be present with entrepreneurs to share their views on future trends and developments within the Dutch food sector and showcase examples.
