At the agriculture table with... Imke de Boer

The food system of the future has already been mapped and written out in countless ways. Instead of reinventing the wheel, we are looking with Imke de Boer for common starting points in existing visions. What at least can we (dis)agree on? And what kind of agriculture and landscape does that produce?

In search of the common denominator

Under the guidance of Imke de Boer (WUR), an authority on sustainable food systems and agriculture, we look between the lines of different visions at the Netherlands of the future. What is the role of the animal in the Dutch food system? How do we ensure that the food we grow is actually nutritious? And how do we confront major social and environmental issues?

At the agriculture table

Publicly, rather than behind closed doors, we are working together with De Balie during our agriculture tables toward an "alternative agriculture agreement". As an extra-parliamentary formation, these dialogues serve as an important and urgent signal to Dutch politics. After all, the future of sustainable agriculture in the Netherlands is at stake - and with it the fate of farmers and nature.
